Korea Day one...Attack of the Killer Toilet!

After a very long flight we checked into our hotel and the adventures began...this toilet looks innocent enough right?

.

Well...you can cleanse your front, your back, you can massage your self or even dry yourself...sounds perfect...well they left out just a teeny bit of info HOW DO I FLUSH the darned thing?

Did I mention that the bathroom door was frosted glass? 

Well I pushed the front cleanse button and it sprayed so hard that it washed down the bathroom door! 

My roomie Jeree was in the room and could hear me whining and complaining but could not see all of the happenings. 

Well, I managed to recover from that and actually find the flush button when I decided to take advantage of the jaccuzi bath.

Have you ever seen the Charlie Brown episode where Snoopy has a fight with the lawn chair?

Well, that was me with the jaccuzi- there was no faucet to fill the tub so when I tried to lay the removable shower head down in the tub to fill it...well...I kinda sorta had another incident...the shower head escaped and I had to wrestle it to the floor (thank GOD i'm a first degree black belt!)...i'm not sure who won but I was extremely wet!

Food Hunt!

We tried some traditional dishes.

This dish was one of my favorites.  It is an omelet filled with rice topped with gravy and ketchup.

We happened upon a Karate Studio and they allowed us to visit.

The students did an entire show for us and were TOTALLY AWESOME!

We said our goodbye and went in search of more Korean delights...

There just happened to be a bakery downstairs.

I can't wait for Day 2!!!

On The Road Again

What HAPPENS on the Mountain STAYS on the Mountain...

On Tuesday a group of us from Art Class headed up to Frankin, NC for a painting retreat. 

 Our teacher is Diana Thurmon  (in the red shorts). 

We relaxed and did some painting during the afternoon.

What A Beautiful Day For Gardening

Today was absoultely beautiful with perfect weather. I went out this morning to plant a few flowers and wound up spending the entire day outside in the backyard.  I listened to music while I planted and even took a break to read a magazine...i'm looking foward to more days like this!

SPRINGTIME TALLAHASSEE

I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida and this is our beautiful Capitol Building. 

Last week I decided to go home for a few days.

 The SPRINGTIME Tallhassee festival was last weekend so I signed myself, my brother Billy and my sister Dianne up for the SPRINGTIME Tallahassee 5K Walk.

 We chatted with the cute bunny at the start of the race.

I think Dianne is up there somewhere...we could'nt keep up with her!

We did find her right after the race and then headed off to collect some post race goodies followed by breakfast at Waffle House and a visit to World Market.

Then we headed home to hang out on the deck.

Hanging out on the deck with Sherlock is one of the main reasons for my visits to Tallahassee.  He is by far my favorite nephew...at 120 lbs he's soooo sweet and cute! I always try stealing him when i'm ready to head home.

Afternoon on the deck turned into an all day event ending with, family, friends, dinner and card playing long into the evening.

Have ya'll ever had fried ribs?

 This weekend was a first for me... they were delicious!
