Grandma's Art Camp

Let me introduce three lovely young ladies I had the pleasure of meeting and crafting with last week.

From left to right - Ruby, Simone and Maggie.

These are three lucky ducks because they get to have Art Camp each year at

grandma's aka Diana Thurmon (my painting instructor).

I was invited to do rubber stamp projects so I pulled out a few supplies and headed over.  We stamped mini greeting cards, turned cigar boxes into treasure chests and made name tags out of chalkboard paper.

We had loads of fun and I can't wait for camp next year!

Long Time No SEE

Wow! It has been quite a while since I was here. 

You know me...life can get just a little bit crazy at times.

 I've been busy focusing on testing for my second degree Black Belt

as well as instructor certification in Karate.

  I know I earned my second degree but have not been told about instructor yet...

I have been teaching a Kickboxing class since last fall and our last class was this past wednesday. 

 I have also been working in the after school program and today was our last day. 

Now that I have some extra time on my hands i'll head to Tallahassee

 for a week to hang out with family to kick off the summer.

When I get back i'll begin a new project that i'm very excited about

... can't wait to let you in on the details!

Paint Day Wednesday

I put on my "BOOGIE SHOES!"

Well they did'nt look just like these ...they were actually my Ahnu

Mary Jane sneakers...any how... I boogied on down to the basement and onto my treadmill for the first time this year and it was great! 

I have promised myself a sweet suprise if I walk three times a week until I have walked at least 21 times on the treadmill.

I'll let you know how i'm doing so that you guys can keep me honest.

I would love some company so let me know when you start so that I can keey you honest!

"Pig Leaves Pen"

This little piggy flew the coop for the first time in 3 DAYS!

I made my way to the salon-managing to avoid the sheets of ice falling from the gutter as they melted-  and did three customers.  There is still ice on the road so I did'nt make it to the bank...i'm back in the pen...safe, warm and full.

Snow Again!

I just finished a cup of coffee after shoveling/sweeping a path off of the deck for Dingo and Fluffy.  I also did the front steps, sidewalk and cleaned off the vehicles...I think i'll have breakfast now!

Paint Day Wednesday

Yesterday was our first class of the New Year and I painted  these yellow tulips to go with some red tulips that I had worked on in the last class.  I was able to completef the red tulip painting  as well.

 

Don't they look great together?  I'm thinking about hanging them in one of the blue bathrooms.

This little piggy was painted a while back.
